cleaning non chrome parts-removing stains

The metal-non chrome parts on my bike have some stains that I have been unable to remove. They look like small spider web like stains which I think has to do with the rain(salt) water drying on the bike over time. Does anyone know if there is something out there to remove these stains? Thanks.
